Pro-tip... don't say you'd like your benefits cut, so Tim can't start every benefit-cutting email with "we've listened to you" 👍🏼

Last year in Canada the results were so bad they were delayed in the release. Then they sent us all to Toronto to show us how they are building artificial intelligence to do our jobs and how everything we do can be done in India. Then in typical fashion they spun it around like they were doing us a favour. We all need to be careful what we wish for, they are replacing our future associates with computers and off shore workers. Not to say I liked working at pwc, but I hate the idea of offshoring skilled work.

^PwC3 partner at our all hands meeting basically said the same. "We don't need associates to do associate work but we need you because you'll eventually be seniors, managers, directors, etc..." What he didn't say as directly was that obviously that means we still need less associates, so hiring will slow down and I would imagine layoffs will happen.

When you offshore the associate work you're eliminating any chance of developing associates into seniors. The work we get from GDM often looks like it was done by blind monkeys. When partners see that prep work can be done at such a lower cost then they jump on it but they fail to see that the long run cost is not worth it and the work product is abysmal.

I liked the question in the survey asking how many days out of 10 we typically leave work feeling energized? My answer was 2 but only because there are two Fridays in every 10 business day cycle.

Hi All
I'm working as a QA in a product based company and have an experience of 2.7 years in both manual and automation testing. I'm trying for a switch in a SDET role, but now my current company is offering me the role of a Product Manager. Can anyone share your thoughts on what should I do? Is SDET a better role or a PM as a point of career growth ?

Hi Fishes,

My last working date with TCS is on 4th March 2022 and now they are offering me 80% hike and Canada onsite opportunity and telling that will initiate visa as soon as I take resignation back and also ready to provide written confirmation. On the other hand I have an offer from IBM of 120% hike fixed and performance bonus would be there which I am not considering now.

Which one would be better? please suggest based on your knowledge and experience.

I am on notice period with Tata Consultancy with 2 months remaining with an offer in hand where the joining date is just after notice period ends. Now, I got early release from current company and thus, I saved 2 months. But I want to use these 2 months for travelling, upskilling and looking for better offers instead of contacting the new company for early joining. So, if I join the new company after 2 months will this be considered as a 'gap' in my profile in the future and will it be harmful?

Any CPAs here that studied and took the GMAT after licensure? Currently looking into prep paths for it, am interested to hear perspective from someone who took both on how you prepped for it compared to CPA. After the hell of passing all 4 CPA exams what I've read so far about the GMAT honestly makes it sound fairly straightforward in comparison, but I don't want to let my CPA ptsd influence me into underestimating it if it's way more demanding than it looks on the surface.

I started at a new firm this year in January. I had a billable goal that was given to me mid year of around 1750 house for the year. I am nowhere near that and definitely will not meet the goal. I had so many non billable hours I was forced to take when I first came in. I worked my ass off in busy season. At my previous firm I never fell short of hours as it was B4. This firm is mid sized and more focused on WLB. My question is how bad do you think this will affect my comp??
