There is an overwhelming consensus in the scientific community across the globe on this. Some disagree , yes, but mostly don’t . It’s the same community that showed us ozone layer depletion in 85 and now it’s finally healing due to collective action. The big difference in this case is that further delay will cause irreparable damage to the planet. We are not going to ‘catch’ global warming as it happens like the ozone layer and then take corrective actions. I mean in the end, would you trust a doctor who thinks you’re in high risk group for cancer and should take corrective action. Or would rather follow your plumber’s health advice. In this case it’s between scientists and a talking Cheeto

I honestly cannot understand the mindset of someone who uses evidence to solve business problems and then turns around and is incapable of understanding the overwhelming evidence supporting global warming.

Weather. Is. Not. Climate. It’s not a myth, or a problem. It’s a full-blown crisis.

Chicago may be facing extreme cold but it had a warm winter as well. It is called localized and not GW. Also, global warming is global as the word says. It is not local warming or cooling. Collectively the world temperature is increasing. More heat energy is getting trapped at surface+air and that is raising global temperature. Phase transition occurs (ice to water) near polar caps from this heat energy. It does not need to have to Sahara like temperature to claim global warming. It can be 0 degree Centigrade (32F) plus a 0.1 degree there and phase transition occurs leading to more water which raises sea level. Your temperature may not go up high but that 0.1 degree could make a huge difference near polar caps.

To be clear this question was global waming which is a condition in which the earth slowly turns orange with two ghostly white spots at it’s poles...

Climate change is a problem. It’s cyclical but humans are obviously speeding up the process

Sunlight is the source of all energy on earth and that is a finely tuned balance. Carbon deposits are really trapped and condensed sunlight that hit the earth millions of years ago, stored in life forms by biological process and taking the form of crushed fossils or oil. We must admit that whenever we take this stuff out of the ground, as fuel, petrol, plastic, we are bringing back sun energy from millions of years ago and adding it to today’s sunlight. I don’t know much science but I know that this is unnatural and will upset that fine balance

OP, that’s not what global warming is. Global warming is average rise of earths temperature and is mainly used in context of climate change and human caused effect. The concept that earth turns orange ball will eventually happen when the sun turns into a red giant star (give or take 5 billion years from now) and heats up the core of the earth. Humanity will be long dead or migrated to some other planet (if we don’t kill our selves first). For reference, earth is currently 4.5B years old. So still some time to go. And no that is also not a myth.
