GM PF fish. We're about to have our first child and are debating between a custodial account and a regular brokerage. Right now, we don't see a HUGE benefit to a custodial brokerage account other than saving a few tax dollars on the first 2G's. Other than a 529, have you chosen a custodial or invested in a regular brokerage account with the intention of it being for your child/ren? We talk about PF a lot in this chat, but I'm looking for some insight into family financing as well.

Everyone has a different perspective on this but would love to hear yours. Someone has debt ranging say 4-5% interest rates. Do you attack debt more then investing to move towards a debt free life or do you go after investments since they return historically above that then paying down closer towards retirement. I know the latter looks better on paper but what about the psychological factors of being debt free and the guaranteed return on interest savings.

Question regarding class action lawsuits currently underway for RIVN, LCID, RBLX, BMBL - what is the action to take if you are an investor with losses that do not exceed a couple of thousand dollars? Are these class action lawsuits just for major investors? In other words, do the rest of us take the L and sell the stock? Or wait for potential rebound? What’s the right move if you’re a regular person with a couple of thousand in some of these stocks under legal fire?

25M, single, healthy - Should I invest my HSA funds? Right now I have about 5k just sitting there and I’m thinking of dumping it into the market. Not sure to put it into a mutual fund (I.e FXAIX, VTSAX) or invest it in individual stocks.
