I’ve been in Finance most of my career, over 10 YOE. Looking to move into Product Management, within the finance industry. I know the business, but don’t have the technical experience.
Ive been taking a free Coursera course - is it worth upgrading to the $50/m subscription to earn the certificate of completion? Or perhaps I should be focusing my efforts elsewhere? This particular course is Digital Product Management: Modern Fundamentals

Take Megafund offer -> work for a year or so ->get in a Better B-school (ideally HSW) -> join another MF with better Wlb

Why not just do the 2 year PE associate program and re-apply to BSchool. If you got into Wharton before then it would be a guarantee again, with H/S as potential upside
Take the MF offer. This is a 1 in 1,000 opportunity. You will regret it for a long time if you don't.
Also, unless you have a real need to be home often (e.g., family needs), I would not optimize for WLB at this point. Do well in a MF for 2-3 years and the sky is your limit.
Is your offer for ops, investment or debt? There are lots of investment team interview process stories and reference study guides, but little to none for ops. Im having an interview for ops and would love to hear about the process (if that was your case). If anyone has any tips or interview stories for ops please let me know
You the happiest problem, congratulations! I would defer wharton and look for another fund post mba with a year of PE experience. Who knows what a year in the fund will do to your perception (good or bad). I think the MBA is an easy "reset" button for your career and I think its better to take risks and career changes before it. I may be wrong
Why not get a different PE offer? If you got a MF offer you’ll likely get others
How many years of experience do you have? If it’s 3 or less definitely go the 2 year PE then MBA then back to PE route.
