I second OP, international is a killer. I'm doing 2 weeks away at a time and getting in Friday around noon and leaving Sunday early afternoon. Is this the norm for intl projects?

Wow

Being away from your wife and kids is nothing to brag about. You'll understand it once you get there.

Where are you traveling and how long/frequently

Been traveling to Southern South America (Argentina,Brazil,Chile) since September, 100% travel (no work from US), alternating weekends between here and there to save on ticket costs/personal wear and tear

Wow that's insane. Sounds great for junior people like myself but if you have a family I can see the issues that can arise. Hope you find a role that better suits the lifestyle you want!

Anyone ever feel like opportunities are taken away from you if someone else is brought into a project you were hoping to lead? How do you handle that?

Going to be in Denver for a weekend in September; have never been. We're going to get an Airbnb. What neighborhoods should we target? Want to be able to walk to restaurants/shops etc.
