I love flying first class in shorts and a t-shirt. Everyone is so confused.
Haha agree. And being Global Services tops it all off :)
I haven't experienced this, even though I fly every Sunday in shorts/t-shirt/flip flops. What airline/city?
Major perk for me is that you can use RPU and GPU on award tickets. Plus they can get special award ticket rates (an itinerary costing me 340,000 they got me for 160,000 somehow). You get served food first. They will hold the plane for you. If you're late in a US connection they may drive out on the Tarmac in a Mercedes to your next gate, or through the terminal in a buggy. I think it's great. What's your spend? That's a big part of it
Timely article... http://uk.businessinsider.com/why-you-should-always-dress-up-on-a-plane-2016-7?utm_content=buffer95ae9&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer?r=US&IR=T
I call bs on that article. Upgrades are by status, fare class etc and most happen before boarding. Nobody gets an upgrade bc of how they are dressed.
"Basketball shorts and dirty flip flops" that would be me on every Sunday flight 😳
@d1 good for you!
Haven't hit GS yet. Any major improvement over 1K? Aside from separate counter at ORD.
Boston. AA.
That's cool! My spend fluctuated a ton over the years between like $10K and $60K
You should be in decent running at $60k. Make sure it's PQD on United planes (not partner airlines that still give you credit). Plus you need some international business sprinkled in there
