@creative “strategist”. Listen to some feedback you unbelievable f*ckmuppet. Your snark is unbecoming and shows your ignorance. GSD1: states plainly that VW is a tad bigger than Newman. The proxy he uses is standard across the industry. 10-30% of total media budget is spend on creative & production dependent on the size of the brand. BUT even if it wasn’t, let’s imagine for a second: if Newman’s total spend is 5M and VW 421M (media and creative) which one would arguably spend more on creative?

@cs1 You really do not get it if you think brands don’t determine creative fees based on media spend. Every single brand tracks working and non-working dollars. A brand that spends 5 million on media will spend approximately 10% of what a 50 million dollar media spend brand will spend on creative. It does not matter where the media account is, those media spends make a clear point about the difference in size those accounts would be for a creative agency.

GSD1, it’s my understanding that Deutsch wasn’t handling their media business so not sure why that scope effects a creative scope. Thanks for your smugness but I understand how the business works fine. I know damn well our we, the creative agency, do not have a scope that is reflective of the brands media spend. The media agency could very well be different and following what you’ve stated
