I got an opportunity to join Microsoft, in "Microsoft Teams" product team. As we are seeing many layoffs across the industry, is it safe to join Microsoft Teams?

Got broken up with by my bf of 1 yr. He said he felt like something was missing from our relationship but couldn’t (or wouldn’t) say what. I know I should just focus on moving on but I can’t help but fixate on this. We had similar goals, values, lifestyles and were pretty compatible. Back in 2017 I quit an absolutely awful company that treated me (and all other lower level employees) like trash. We were constantly being reprimanded about not doing our job well enough, but then would also get yelled at for overtime when we tried to do our job well.
Every year since, I’ve written a 1 star review on Glassdoor. Currently their overall score is a 2.3 with a 0% approval of CEO. 15% recommend to a friend. (((Continued in comments)))

Anyone else feel like they’re an average performer on a team of high performers, but because of that your review will be lower? Worried because I’m getting through the work timely but just feel like there’s always something I’m being asked to do better. Also worried for upcoming promo to senior, if they’ll say I’m not ready by their standards, but someone else’s standards could be completely different.

Wanted some clarification about TCS salary structure Job level offered is C3B

1) Monthly performance pay is 9.25 percent of CTC. Recruiter is saying this is fixed salary. Is this component always fixed or there are scenarios when company can deduct this? Even if one is on bench, is this fixed?

2) Performance Bonus / Quarterly variable is 12.7 percent of CTC. Is this too high or standard for all people at C3B level?

3) Together both make variable 22% of CTC. Is it normal or too high?

Can we receive the performance pay on probation period because still I am not allocated to any project?

Immigration question.
Firm has applied for my GC but i dont have an approved i140 yet. My GC application and my home office location is in state X. And i’m planning to move to a state Y which is under 50 miles from my old home location. So my question is, if I change the states but the new location is under 50 miles will that be a problem for my green card application? I am planning to email the immigration lawyers but wanted to see if anybody has done something similar and share experiences

After reading the discussions on this bowl for some time, there's something I want to share. There's a lot of criticism of Modi, Indian govt, Hindu Nationalism etc here. A lot of it is for good reason.

If like me you get defensive about these, tell yourself that (most) of it isnt anti-India, or hatred for India. It feels that way since our idea of India has become liked to 'Hindu'. Most are anti-Modi precisely because they love India. Just something that helps me think more rationally. Peace.
