Debating a career switch. I’m currently in tax but don’t think accounting is for me. Has anyone gone into teaching after big 4? Any advice? I think I’d make a great math teacher.

Anyone has ever got an interview offer from PWC ( or other Big 4) then reschedule it when it comes close to the interview date? Is this a bad impression?
I am thankful for Slalom staff aug for allowing my low functioning self to fly under the radar. I used to be a Big 4 hardo, but COVID fatigue/languishing has me ready to retire. The hardest part of my job is convincing peers that a handful of emails, meetings, and deck updates each day = 40 billable hours/week.
Is Accounting really worth it on the long term? I noticed a lot of people are ok with their salary but not necessarily in terms of WLB. I wasn’t informed very well when I used to be a student, but now it seems a lot of others paths and career suggest a great salary for a 40-45hr work week. What are your thoughts ?
How does one go about making the jump to FP&A as a senior audit associate at big 4? Any self-marketing tips, certifications/courses recommended?
I didn’t think trying to leave big 4 would be so hard. I’ve been applying to different industry jobs and gotten a couple call backs for interviews and even a verbal offer, but still no luck with finding the right fit for me.
I got call from HR of one of Big 4 firm. She had such an irritating tone for a HR. When I told my expected CTC, she went on to persuade me to quote lower number since they don't have budget. I even came down to a point since I wanted to get Big 4 Opportunity. She kept on saying a number which was not even 15% of my current package. Finally, she said she's not going to process the profile with an almighty attitude. Such an arrogant tone from Big 4 HR. I wonder this MNCs have idiots as HRs
Currenttly working for a big 4 with visa max out in 2021. I really want to jump my firm but worried if the new firm would file gc right away so that i can stay post 2021. Is this a serious worry?
I have two opportunities currently. One is to stay at Meta as a CW for another year in the hopes I convert (my role is quite visible and I feel valuable to my team, and my team has a history of converting CWs). My pay is around $94k. The other is a consultant role at a well known company (not big 4) where I’ve received positive feedback and have been recommended for a higher pay band - $130k Should I stay at Meta for the potential to convert, or take the cash and run?
I often see posts about people getting 350K exit or 450K or more in FAANG. Are those strategy folks from Big 4 or are there cyber folks too getting these exits ? I am making close to 200k as M3 in cyber . Not able to anything that would pay more than this in non-consulting ? What roles should I target ?
Is SOX 404 compliance audit work complicated? I’m looking to leave big 4 and get an internal audit job but the job I’m applying for requires this work and I don’t have any experience in that field. Please share your thoughts :)
Anyone know if you can get work email on Microsoft surface tablet at big 4, doesn’t just need to be KPMG!
Telling my roommate that I will slap him the next time he says that he's "been working too much" at his crappy, 32 hr/week job.
So what are you replacing your SPG card with?

Punched a director in the mouth today for talking shit. I've been holding that in for 2 years. Feels like I came for the first time.
My wife is giving birth in a few months to our first child. Should I take the full 16 weeks? Four months seems like an extremely long time. What about utilization and bonus? Getting replaced in projects and initiatives?

Real talk: I was recently on a company-paid cruise holiday and had some of the best times in a long while. This got me thinking 'why was it so good, and is this something I could bring to my daily life?'. And the three key things I got were: 1 - Activities -> Being (physically) active and *doing* things 2 - Dinners -> Socialising with a good mix of old and new connections 3 - Karaoke -> Performing and being in front of people Why was this important? Prior, I had always goaled on specific (cont.)
