A car accident a couple years ago resulted in shoulder surgery. I found out this week my settlement amount would be $80K+ (take home). I’m mid 20s + debt free already with a 50% savings rate. I’m a 5th yr considering lateraling from a V30 to a V100 to increase chances at partnership. The v100 makes a fair amount of partners in my practice and I would assess my chances at making equity partner there to be relatively good for BL. At the V30 equity partnership odds seem much lower, but my reviews have been good. The V30 has >$2mm per year higher PPP, higher chambers ranking and better exit ops generally.

Any advice as to how to decide on the offer? What else should I consider?

I work in a midsize firm and we have the basic subscription to westlaw, which doesn’t include the ability to see filed briefs, motions, etc without incurring additional costs. I’m wondering if there is a service in the NJ/PA area that gives you access to previously filed motions and briefs? So if I’m drafting a summary judgment I could search the service and find a similar one. If this doesn’t exist.. I think I found the next million dollar idea lol
