Get the piece of paper. Don't worry about others telling you the full time experience matters, the network, etc. It's all about the resume and checking the box. Build your network at work, with your clients, and in the marketplace. Just my two cents.

Check on executive programs that do the curriculum as a cohort. Less in class time but the cohort really helps establish a good network. Worked for me anyway.

like

Ugh. Don't do it. Full time experience is way better given the network you build and the experiences you gain.

My roommate did the weekend program at Booth. I remember him cribbing that the network was not that great and it was an absolute struggle.

like

^ sounds like someone without the experience and the outside network.

Thanks everyone! I'm hearing y'all, but I am leaning toward the part time just because I just don't think I can go back to living like a poor college student for 2 years plus I've a mortgage to pay... I guess I was just trying to understand how hard it would be to do both (working/going to school)

I wouldn't recommend PT unless you need it for a promotion - doesn't help you switch roles and doesn't really build your network

Agree with D4. Check out executive programs. You'll get a network of working experienced professionals right off the bat. I walked away from mine with multiple C-level friends at F1000s. Plus the ROI of the executive format blows PT and FT out of the water. It's a lot of work though.

Wharton EMBA worth it? Late career starter so limited white collar experience but interesting background/past life. Also have kids to support so can’t do a full time program. Want the MBA for career boost ($), as an entry to faang/MBB and to have more security for future opportunities. Worth it? Does the EMBA have the same faang/MBB recruitment access and weight as full time?

Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!
