Maybe try looking into transition services for young adults with disabilities! Some of those programs teach life skills like those you are describing!

My first thought is to find a pediatrician that you can do nutrition and healthy living advice to kids that are patients there. I have NO idea how to go about doing this, but this is an idea

For those recently laid off, what are you doing for healthcare coverage now? Just got my COBRA offer/extension letter and was floored to see the cost. So far I’ve only looked at covered California at the suggestion of a friend but at a glance the plans don’t seem substantially better - the monthly savings in premium on those plans is essentially offset by the increased deductible. Do I just suck it up and keep what I had through COBRA and pray I get a job soon? Any suggestions on ways to save?

The partner I have worked under for about six years is retiring. I’ve assisted on a portion of his cases for years, but with the retirement, many of his cases are being transferred to me. My personal caseload will essentially double because of the transition. I am in billable law so this means more hours to bill and work towards my goal/bonus, but do I have grounds to ask for an increase in base pay as well? I make $110k-California insurance defense averaging about 2100-2200 hrs annually. TYIA.
