Going to Paris for two days with my parents and want to do touristy things (mostly for them as I’ve been before). Thinking about renaissance arc de triomphe hotel. Is that a good location? Any other suggestions?

I think it’s a great location if you want to hit up the touristy spots. I stayed in the Hôtel Montfleuri which is near there and I found it easy to navigate the subway or just walk to the champs Élysées real easily.

I am so tired of Deloitte allowing bias towards MDs. Only because you are not an equity partner, your voice is automatically muted, you can contribute but you don’t get to decide. The minute a senior manager gets promoted to a principal, he gets on top of an MD with 15+ years experience and treats you like he is your boss. I mean this is a cast system at its best! I can’t wait to leave this firm, COVID can’t end fast enough.

Is there anyone who had COVID and were able to get back to their normal fitness levels? I wanna stay hopeful that my lungs will be able to handle running just a mile. Its been almost 4 months of training and I still get shortness of breath 😞 I’m curious if anyone’s in a similar situation. Before I had covid, I ran 2-3 miles with no problems.

At the risk of sounding like an absolute loser, does anyone else just ... not really have friends? I’m 26, never really connected with many girls in law school, and my handful of college friends are scattered far from me. Sure, there are people who I can text and vice versa, but I never have anyone to get a pedicure or drink with, let alone celebrate my recent engagement. I’m trying to stay positive, but it’s lonely out here!
