In addition to explaining your Why for wanting to be rolled off, think about it from their perspective(s) to anticipate their concerns.
How will this screw your current project? What upcoming milestones or delivery quality would you be putting at risk? How will you help to mitigate that? What timeframe are you talking about and is there flexibility in that? Can you help source, pre-screen, and ramp up whoever will be your replacement so you’re not dumping all those things on your already-slammed manager?
Just don’t make it all about you...
For all the reasons slalom mentioned? It's fine to roll off but you can't leave people holding the bag in your absence and should help minimize as much adverse impact as possible.
I started with saying he/she should explain their Why (which as they explained is that there’s another opportunity that better aligns to their career goals)... but if the question OP asked is how to make the convo go Smoothly, my advice is to not Only care about what you want. Demonstrate that you have thought of and care about how this will put your current client team in a bind. That convo will pan out much better than, “I found something better than this sh*tty project... Peace out, suckers!"
Because people are selfish TC1 and salmon is 100% right- unfortunately you need to have the game plan ready for transition because just saying “✌🏻 out” will damage reputation and/or not afford the opportunity to actually rolloff

It wouldn’t hurt if you could suggest another on the team to backfill your responsibilities and explain how team may benefit from your move (i.e. give a junior member lead role experience, allow another more cost effective person to move into the team, etc.). This is how I generally move out of a project that’s not working for me; explain how the work will be covered.
