Feeling very down. Constantly applying to jobs, occasionally get noticed by recruiters, then just either ghosted or learn that the role has been filled before I even get to the first real interview. Really hoping something changes because I can’t do this anymore because consulting isn’t for me anymore.

Looking for some advice on an exit opportunity - Current role - 1 year post-MBA at a T2 strategy firm making $148 Potential role - senior level role at a small healthcare company at $265 + equity Seems like a slam dunk, but is moving to a company that isn’t well known going to harm me in the long run? Should I wait for a F500 role that is lower title / comp but better name recognition? Should I wait until I’m manager? Having a hard time with this from a long term view vs short term

Seeking Advice: To MBA or not? ~5 years total work experience post Bachelors in consulting (Finance + Consumer engagements) and FAANG (current - strategy, ops & analytics). Happy in my current role and on a post mba level comp package. That being said every exec in my department is a top 5 mba graduate, so I’m wondering if in the long run it will serve me well to do an mba or not? Short term doesn’t make much sense, but in the long run?
M and above. Do you think being transparent to your team lowers the perception of your position? How do you balance ?
Thoughts on this article? Seems like the authors bumbled a bit without really doing their homework. At least they were able to exit without loss. Very amateur. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/05/frank-and-stevens-excellent-corporate-raiding-adventure/521436/

How to handle recruiting burn-out? I’ve been actively searching for a new role for a little over a year now (obviously this is parallel to the pandemic). Any advice on how to go forward? I’ve had a few final rounds, but no offers or couldn’t get there on comp. I know applying online is likely to not yield anything, but cold e-mails are only marginally more effective. Feel tapped out in terms of my network... - targeting alts/PE/HF Biz Dev; YOE:6
Any advice for approaching a maternity leave conversation when my company has no policy, no HR dept and I have no contract? I’m a partner shareholder in my company (we’re not in the US), 19 wks pregnant. I know the time off and pay I’d like to negotiate, but my partners are male and weird about money. I’m underpaid in a very senior 6 yr position, my job is stressful and around the clock, so I want proper leave. I can’t afford childcare and our govt stat leave is terrible, it won’t pay my bills.

Dear Diary 😉 Covid has made me even more weird than I normally am not to mention very lazy. Let’s see I wake up and just lay there for an hour doing nothing. Then I’ll do some quick naked yoga. Hop onto my first call. Then go take a shower in between meetings. Next onto my next call. In between there is a quick break to make coffee which I gulp in 3 mins flat. Then I FINALLY brush my teeth and do my eyebrows. Back on a call then I’ll put on clothes. Next I’ll scroll on social media aimlessly CON

I have Spanish speaking clients while my team is English speaking. We want to have real-time English subtitles of the translation during meeting and are trying find a meeting technology (like Teams, Webex, etc) with the feature built-in and/or add-on tech that we can use. Do any of you have recommendations or experience with this? Zoom isn’t an option and we have a human translator who summarizes so we miss the detail.
Even though this group may be biased, I need to ask. I am having a hard time picking between med school and business school. I have worked as an analyst for two years but see no fulfillment in my job. I know I could get into IB or equity research but I still have no real interest in it. But I also have zero experience in the medical field. I was a finance major and would be doing a complete 180, but the idea of medicine sounds so much more fulfilling than any career in finance. Thoughts?
Visiting colleges this weekend with my high school aged son. Everywhere we go in the Student Union, they're playing classic rock from the 80s and early 90s. Hey you kids. Get your own damn music...
