Many reports show that investing in Baltimore and Philadelphia is the future, I don't doubt it. What is the fastest you have ever resold a property?

Under contract for nearly 1.1M. Wife and I are at HHI $315k. Will go up in the future, $400k in 3 years and $500k possible in 5-7 years. We have $300k in non-retirement funds, $260k of which will go towards acquiring the house. We have 2 kids and will probably reduce (not maxing) retirement accounts next 18 months to do this. How is commuting from Evanston into Chicago (the loop)? Does it get better (even slightly)? I am a first year M&A, and so far I don't necessarily mind the long hours but the unpredictableness just grates on me. I also don't feel like I'm learning anything: make this PowerPoint slide blue not red or make this chart in Word not have word wraps (all stuff I just immediately delegate to our document formatting team).
