I'm trying to land on a job from last 10 months, after applying to 100s of jobs, been on so many interviews I am still not getting anywhere.
I've started to loose all hopes!

I am now in Canada and on Student Visa till April, after which I'll be on work permit.

I just was in a 3 process interview, which included modern hire interview, interview with hiring manager and interview with senior director(Boss’s boss) for another company. The hiring manager liked me and the interview went well to progress, the next interview also went well. In this situation who would make the final decision to hire me? Anyone else getting ghosted by HR after being basically at the finish line? I’ve interviewed with two different companies and every interview going great. Five interviews in with both and then weeks later seeing they hired someone else on LinkedIn. I’m not mad they hired someone else but annoyed that they never send out an email or call saying they are going in another direction. Seems poor practice and makes me never want to work with them in the future.

Anyone got promoted to manager by jumping firm? How difficult was the interview? Did they ask a ton of technical questions to make sure you are qualified?

How many days HR take to get back to us after giving 2 rounds of interview (technical and Managerial) in cognizant?

I'm expecting a job offer Friday and I have 2 phone screens coming up. One screen also being on Friday which is my 1st job choice. The job I've already interviewed for is my last choice due to a few reasons. I don't want to be without a job. I also don't know how to navigate 2 phone screens and potentially 2 interviews and then having to back out after an acceptance due to another offer.

We’ve been TTC for 7 months now. I was 10 days late for my period, took a pregnancy test 3 different times in the last week and all negative. Reading online i learned that i could be pregnant and just need the hcg levels to build up for a positive test. But last night, I had the worst cramps and now have light bleeding, and some clots 😭... this whole process is such an emotional rollercoaster.. has anyone else had a similar experience? After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

Hi everyone ! Anyone here work in a Tech startup? If so, how did you go about creating a global pay structure that was for employees in the US and internationally and how did you differentiate a range for new hires and current employees. Would love to know if anyone has experience doing this.

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?

So I’ve always had a rough time trying to find what role titles I would be a good fit to apply to given that my career growth has been so peculiar (HR assistant at hotel, Operations Manager at hotel, seller support at Amazon, customer experience coordinator at an IT company, talent acquisition specialist at a health org)
In those roles I normally took more in my plate than the typical role requires (hr functions, data analysis, etc)
