Any patent attorneys out there?
Starting to sweat a little about my engineering degree choice. Every agent job listing I’ve seen so far heavily favors CS and EE degrees or outright requires them. How can I make myself more competitive with my ME degree? What types of jobs if any would prefer this? Thank you

I'm receiving an offer this week for a role as an integrations delivery manager. Does anyone have salary insight around a role such as this?
I honestly have no idea what I might be offered, hence my post, because there's too many variances posted online. I have cross experience in my role now, and have been with the company 7 years now. Just a different business unit and position title I'm unfamiliar with

Has anyone used a surrogate? If yes, how did you find them and would you recommend the experience? I really want kids and have not yet started trying to have them naturally but the idea of pregnancy and birth are absolutely terrifying me. I’m sure everyone is nervous about it but my fear is getting bigger and bigger and I just turned 30 so I’m hearing my biological clock ticking.

I am fairly green in academia (< 1 year) and I want to shift to an area of research which I always wanted to do but never could as a Ph.D. student (because of conflict of interest).
The issue I am facing is that due to lack of my documented research experience in this field (read, lack of papers) I am finding it very hard to land any grant and reviewers keep saying "The PI hasn't demonstrated any experience in said research" blah blah.
Any advice on how to overcome this?

Anyone have a manager that has a grudge against you? My manager missed something a few months ago which led to him explaining something wrong in a meeting with our other boss. I corrected him/gave him the answer (unthinkingly I'll admit) after our boss left, and since then he's had the worst attitude with me and only me. It's making work so awkward. What's the best way to solve this?

Curious to know if anyone in here has ever scored a Van Winkle bottle. Just saw the bourbon release for 2022, they claim to have more bottles this year but I can't imagine actually getting one at MSRP.

Got me a new storage cabinet pretty excited!!

Uncorking a new bottle for the b-day. I’ve sometimes heard people describe peat smoke as meaty, but this (and maybe Ardbeg Corry) are the best examples of smoked and peppered protein notes coming out of a whiskey that I’ve had to date.
