Good gift to give my neighbor who just got engaged? They don’t have a wedding date set, so nothing with dates or pictures.

Wine glasses or champagne glasses that have the last name etched on the base with a bottle of wine or champagne? I’m sure you could find items like these at Things Remembered or some place like that.

OP sounds like a great idea! And you have the perfect line to include in the card..."The best planning is done with a little buzz!"

^ I saw the planning book idea and thought it could be useful. Also was debating the custom wine bottle and some glasses. Maybe a bottle of wine and a planner? The best planning is done with a little buzz.

customizing things with a name only works if you’re sure you know what they’re doing with their names. Out of about a dozen friends of mine who have gotten married, I have yet to know anyone to change their name.

Pwc1: It’s a done deal!

Personalized picture frame is always a great bet!

I’d probably wait for the engagement party invite, bridal shower invite or wedding invite before getting them a gift. If you’re not super close, they’ll feel obligated to invite you if you get them a gift now, or if you’re close you’ll end up having to give multiple gifts when a bigger gift from their registry that they actually want may be better.

I work in a public school setting and am allergic to citrus. My district has stated that it is too much trouble to accommodate me. I carry an Epipen and have an anaphylaxis reaction to being exposed to citrus. My district is not accepting my doctor note. They think I am exaggerating and refuse to limit citrus fruits on my campus. An HR meeting concluded that I was required to work through it/use the emergency response team if I have “an issue”. Pls share if you have had a different experience

Any CPAs here that studied and took the GMAT after licensure? Currently looking into prep paths for it, am interested to hear perspective from someone who took both on how you prepped for it compared to CPA. After the hell of passing all 4 CPA exams what I've read so far about the GMAT honestly makes it sound fairly straightforward in comparison, but I don't want to let my CPA ptsd influence me into underestimating it if it's way more demanding than it looks on the surface.
