What is it about law that glorifies morning people so much? I am NOT one and wfh has been so great for me in terms of being able to set my own schedule, but now that we’re starting to go back to the office I’ve noticed some pointed comments about people not being in by 8am. I bill as much (generally more) than other associates, so why does it matter if I start at 9 and work late?? I’m finding it hard to go back to the arbitrary-feeling 8am office start when I know I’m not going to be productive.
Unassigned for the next couple weeks. Fighting the urge to work from home until I am assigned. #minivacation
How hard is it to find an entry level UX researcher position in the midwest? (Also, open to remote) I have: - Psychology degree - UX Design Certification - 2 years experience in a tech start-up and have built processes company-wide
Dear Extroverts, Please leave us introverts alone! Stop trying to force us back to the office. We hate it. Signed, Please don’t talk to me
I keep seeing those LinkedIn polls about how many people want to work from home permanently, and it makes me kinda sad. I know a lot of people really prefer working from home, but as a junior who only started working after the pandemic began, it feels so strange to not have an agency to go to. I know all my coworkers faces only from seeing them on Zoom, and only in the context of work-related conversations. I hope I’ll actually get the chance to experience normal agency culture.
Any advice for those really struggling with motivation and tiredness? I’m split across three modules and feel constantly tired and unproductive. With WFH I’ve got into a bad habit of taking naps during the day, and trying to cram the work in the evening, which is somewhat okay for getting through the day-to-day, but I feel like it will all come crashing down soon, plus it leaves no time to do anything I enjoy.
100% remote lit positions in big law?
I’m 22, fresh out of college at my first job making $45k, I’m saving to move out but have a lot of spare income b/c of no commute, less eating out etc. with WFH and the pandemic, any tips on where I should start investing my money? any advice helps, not really sure where to start, but the earlier the better right?

Looking to buy my primary home in New Jersey. My budget is 500k and we don't have any kids yet. I would like it to be commutable to NYC for work but mostly i would be doing wfh. What area/location is ideal for my situation? I know Edison is a nice area. Thanks.
My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

New to this NY freeze - so when does an agency just call it quits and have everyone work from home? Or is this wishful thinking?
What kind of cell phone/internet reimbursement programs do your organizations offer? Any WFH stipends or other COVID related perks you've seen? I keep hearing from sellers they get all these things covered but no one else in the organization does, yet we all have to work from home and pay for these things anyway... like I'd for sure have a phone and internet even if I worked in a different field, job, etc...
Is there a best practice for categorising your experiences on your external/public/LinkedIn type resume? Do you group it by project or by the type of work you did? Any other ideas?

I got selected for interview stage at a FAANG... Even before interviewing, the recruiter is asking for my comp expectations. I dont want to throw out numbers and ranges, but looking for advice here on how do i structure my response to let them know i would like to have a competitive salary as per industry standards (i know for a fact that their base salaries are 30 to 40% more than what i make now ($137k). The reason i dont want to let them know what i make now is so that they dont lowball me
I recently changed jobs and my new 401K provider - Principal has very limited MF investment options. My prior employer’s 401K was managed by Fidelity and provided me access to a range of MF options. I believe that the fund options are negotiated by the employer and provider? Two questions. First - I have not rolled over my previous 401K to the new one. Would there be any problems. Second - is there a way I could move my current 401K to another (precious) provider?
How is the Slalom Boston office? What are the opportunities and culture like? Do they do variable salary (less money on bench) and staff aug?

Got offered "Lead Analyst", Rank 44 in Consulting. Not able to find this position in the hierarchy. Can someone help me understand this position, usual YOE of this position and designation/years to next promotion. YOE - 3.3, Tech - Azure Data Engineer
Post final interview: it has been over 8 days and the recruiter told me that they are still making decisions. Is it likely that they’ve extended an offer and waiting for the person to accept/reject and I’m the second choice?
