Good Morning All! I have a primary phone screening with Stryker for a Freight Operations Lead position! I am super excited and feel this company is one I can get passionate about! Any interview tips, or skills I should focus on when speaking to the recruiter/hiring manager? I’d really love to work for this company, especially in operations and logistics, a career field I truly enjoy!

First, congrats on getting this far with a company you’re excited about in a position you want.

Advice is always the same:
- Be yourself
-Be knowledgeable about the company
- Relate your e oerience to their needs
- listen carefully: respond directly to the question
- Prepare good questions in advance and listen for questions to ask based on what you hear in thr interview
- make good eye contact and comfortably smile
- If you’re nervous, admit it. People are forgiving.
- At the end of the interview, ask if there is anything else tey need yo know about you, uour experience and how you can contribute to the company's goals in the role
- Follow up in writing immediatelty (within 2 hrs)

Finally, through the interview, focus on giving them a good feel what it will be like to work with you. This addresses the ‘fit’ question.

Happy to talk further. You can DM me.

I completed technical round of interview for Cognizant and was scheduled for L2 round. But during the L2 round, there were some technical issues with the application due to which the interviewer got a lag in my voice. So he said he would reschedule the interview. What should I do next? Should i be waiting for the HR to connect or should I reach out to them directly.

Sharing my thoughts !!

In November 2021, i was working in Tcs at a package of 4.1 on Mainframes. I was not happy at all with my career. Learnt a new technology(Cloud). Gave interviews, rejected by few companies including Deloitte. Kept going..
Joined Accenture as a Cloud Engineer. In December 2022, I will be earning a package of 12. Got one certification, aiming for 2nd one. All this within a span of 12 months. These are brilliant times in tech. Keep hustling. Success will be yours.

I currently received an email from Engineering HR on slots to kick off the interview process. I provided them with that, but haven't heard back since then. It's been 2 weeks.

Should I expect a response incase my application is not being considered anymore?

Long story short- my position is being subcontracted and likely means a pay cut. My wife and I moved 1300miles for this job less than 6m ago.

We obviously don’t want to move again so quickly, and I’m more of a wet lab scientist so remote work isn’t much of a thing. I currently have an offer for 30% more than my uncut salary, local, but it’s a step down in position (Scientist to Research Coordinator). Do I take the money? Or is the title more important? Interviewing with 2 companies for creative positions and may be getting offers next week. Thankful for your insights as I weigh these options.

A: Hospital | $125k
Team is frighteningly lean. Totally swamped. Plans to scale up, but will it be enough?

B: SaaS Startup | $100k + $15k bonus. Equity with an IPO looming.
Team is much more robust. Lots of ex-agency folks.

I'm 41. Wife and baby. Money is important, but I would accept a little less money for WLB, career trajectory, and/or stability.
