Many states are "reciprocal" with licensing. I would read your state DOE requirements AND those of the state to which you will be moving. Call an educational licensing office in the new state and ask questions to be sure internet is up to date.
I have taught in CA, TX, and now WA state. The onky requirement has been taking their state teacher test. The testes are easier with more teaching experience. With National Borad cert it is even easier to move between states. WA pays the best by far and my district here has excellent systems in place for making teaching the best possible!
I had a Michigan certification and was able to just send send in my Michigan certification and was issued the state I was living in. I was able to get South Carolina and Kentucky
I went from California to Kentucky. I went to cde.ca.gov and they have step by step instructions on how to get certified based on your experience. Other than the application, I only had to take the CTEL to get certified for teaching English learners. Not difficult and I had a year to pass it after I got my job.
I meant Kentucky to California**
It really depends upon the other state. I know nj is pretty much accepted anywhere but teachers from out of state usually have to take praxis first
I have heard that California is one of the more difficult ones to transfer/qualify. I know in Oklahoma if you have a certificate from another state it is fairly easy. Florida is another one that I’ve heard to rather simply switch over.
