Happy to provide some insight here. This type of work cannot be a one size fits all approach. It will depend on many factors such as your company size, culture, workforce, industry, etc. Too often this work resorts to just bringing in a consultant, doing trainings, and it either falls flat or isn’t sustainable. I’ll follow up with you with some foundational things you can do to get you on the right track including an article we just put together!

I will make this short. I worked in finance sales and real estate prior to working in Healthcare. I enjoyed sales, but wanted something more stable while my wife went to pharmacy school. 5 years late, I earned a MA in health administration and certificate in project management. I have also worked in healthcare for the past three years as a team lead in patient access and financial counselor.
While humble, I feel that I am capable to do more! Can anyone help? Pharma sales? PT Access, Rev cycle?

What's a really good "difficult" question that you as a candidate can ask the (big law) interviewer?

Context: I had callbacks at a big law firm while i was in law school and after one partner finished her questions and I finished asking my questions, she told me to ask her a really tough question, something to really stump her. l fumbled and am pretty sure that majorly factored into the rejection.

What would you ask?

Question for any indigenous people out there. My company is seeking to create employee resource groups and would like to use the word tribes to use them, as it is an alliteration to our company name, but also the definition means a group of people from the same community/culture. I was wondering though if this might be considered offensive to anyone, as that is the complete opposite of our intent. Would love your thoughts on this?

New fish looking for career guidance.

I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.

Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?

Im a contractor. Another firm has reached out for 100% remote work for basically a lateral move. I really like where I’m at right now. I’m remote but if I turn to FTE which is very possible later this year I would probably end up having to go in 1 or 2 days a week to NYC. My manager knows this is basically a dealbreaker for me. Should I let my manager know I have another firm reaching out but I really want to stay but I’d need to be a remote FTE? They mentioned several times I’m an asset.
