Hi all,
I’m currently a risk consultant (~6 months) within financial services at PwC and very interested in IB for its work around strategy and finance. I was wondering if anyone can offer any insight on whether I should try and switch now while I’m early in my career (graduated in 2020) or should I aim to get into IB after MBA in 4-5 years? Thanks! The current administration has banned critical race theory-based diversity training across federal agencies claiming education around white privilege is anti-American.
As someone who is dedicated to anti-racism work, I believe these conversations on the pervasiveness of systemic racism are necessary in order to dismantle the broken system and are central to our work as HR professionals. I fear what precedent this ban will set.
Thoughts from other HR pros?

I'd say your background as an educator will make you uniquely qualified for that type of role, so you'll surely have a leg up over some of the other candidates. I'd focus on the skills you have now that would make you successful in L&D and tailor your resume accordingly. You may want to hire a professional to do this.
You might want to look into a professional facilitator certification like DDI
I think a certification can really help with the transition, but I do agree with above - I think with the skillset you have, making the transition shouldn't be too hard
