Good morning,
I’m currently looking for a career change into long term care. I currently work in a medical office assisting with scheduling appointments. I have a masters in health administration and I have a bachelors in health informatics. Does anyone have any advice on entry level jobs that can give me the experience needed to become a long term care administrator. Thank you
Those are some in-demand degrees you have there. You should have no problem finding a job. Health informatics background can help you get into very high-paying jobs. I recommend looking for roles in data analytics at any health payor (Humana, Cigna, Anthem etc.).
I will look into those. I’ve actually had a very hard time finding something in both fields.
Look at your larger health systems in the area too. Maybe something in population health.
Look into getting a Nursing Home Administrator license
