Hi Fishes, I had multiple offers but I retained the same company even though the package is low compared to others. Now the problem is I'm not able to concentrate on the work. Before that I'm very good at completing the tasks.I'm not able to understand why I'm sitting idle not doing anything. Even I'm not thinking about anything. Just timepass. Did you ever face this situation?

Several I’ve done spring to mind (assumes you’re mostly looking to get away from cities and this isn’t necessarily a day trip):
- Shenandoah National Park (Skyline Drive, allow more time for the Blue Ridge Parkway which continues south from the park)
- Finger Lakes region of NY, including Ithaca and Watkins Glen. Allow an extra day for Niagara or substantial wine tasting.
- Pittsburgh
- Pocono Mountains
- Catskills
- Adirondacks (OK, pushing 6 hours, but check them out sometime anyway)
- Delaware Water Gap (day trip)
- Delaware/Maryland beaches
- Chesapeake region (Annapolis, Chestertown MD etc.)
- Pennsylvania has a lot of scenic state parks. I often do fall foliage hikes in some of the parks along the Susquehanna south of Harrisburg as day trips especially during fall leaf season.
Six hours by car from Philly gets you a lot of options, and of course all of the big Northeast cities except Boston are more like 2-3 hours away.
That town in PA with the underground coal fire would be cool to see
Centralia. Much of it is closed, though there are a lot of YouTube videos that can probably guide how to visit with the least risk.
Lehigh Valley - hit Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton.
So many options listed, but here’s a few more.
