I'd also caution against using your experience as the indicator for a company's diversity. Notice I referenced their actual diversity data (which didn't even break down diversity by gender within non-whites, or Asian Americans) *as well* as my own direct experiences. I also interviewed a variety of other leaders... lastly and respectfully, I suggest that you as a white man may consider what counts as "very diverse". I'm not hating on Accenture, I'm just saying it's a majority white company and it's just as racist as anywhere else. It isn't modeling anything in that regard, but no one is lol.
@A10 if my comments made you feel like I believe you're less than, my apologies. Not my intention whatsoever. I'm simply saying Accenture's data affirms that they aren't diverse. They know it. That's why they came out with that whole initiative on hiring more black and Hispanic people, remember? I'm not offended or mad or anything - as a minority who is looking at the facts *and* who rarely sees people who look like him, it's annoying when people in the majority try to say a place is diverse. Again, if you felt attacked I'm sorry. I tried to pad my statements with the goal of not hurting your feelings.

Yeah I am not naive, I anticipate some politics at Accenture but so far I've gotten a good vibe. Accenture seems different than the big 4, so I hope it translates to company culture as well. If not, at least I gave consulting a fair shake before moving to industry!

SC1 - do you work for Accenture or did you? Because it is a very diverse company. I am the only Caucasian person on the team I lead which is 12 people. At the top, people still see a bunch of Caucasian men but we actually have a wide array of managing directors. The #1 in the US is Caucasian, then Indian, Latino, African American, etc etc.
