The framing of this article and especially the title are weird. Broadly speaking the email Julie sent was understood by many to merely provide certainty for planning purposes. She was just giving notice that for the next 5 to 6 months we would be working from home mostly. Her and the other coleader at the firm did so in 2020 as well and it helped everyone get used to working from home. I thought this was a good announcement to help associates plan for this year rather than just waiting and hearing nothing.

For what it’s worth, she’s also probably right. By September we’ll likely have hit 70% vaccinations which many recognize as the herd immunity number (earlier if you count ppl who get covid/immunity and are unvaccinated)

Like why! It’s not like they can make people work anymore!

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

Hi fishes, my previous employer has not given me the money for Earned Leaves, they are saying it's not in their policy.. I have a variable bonus of 100000. Out of this they have given only 19,000 in the month of December after 6 months of joining...But they are not giving me any bonus after completing 1 year and 2 months.. They have stopped my appraisal as well...

So in total, I lost my appraisal money, bonus and Earned Leaves money... I feel betrayed and cheated...

What should I do ??

I have offer from amex, I have joined Tiger Analytics as college fresher in July (Months), how safe is it to switch now. In Tiger, I am currently at bench. And How’s amex doing in current scenarios? Designation - Data science analyst (band 30).

Any insight into what NY Biglaw counsel positions pay? I imagine it varies but I think my firm may be majorly lowballing with basically just senior associate salary. Bonuses are likely just top of associate scale too so max $100k. I hear people leaving for much higher paid counsel spots elsewhere so curious.

Hi! I’m a first-year associate working at a large regional firm. I attended a well-ranked, but regional law school and my grades weren’t stellar. School was never very motivating for me, and I put way more effort into internships and networking than my studies during law school. Luckily, I love to network and landed an awesome job at a big firm. Eventually, I’m hoping to work in-house. My question is this, will my grades always follow me? I’ve heard that with time and experience, not so much.
