They are the worst client I've ever worked with in every departments. They are zero creative bones super rational - a bunch of smart kids who have never done marketing and can't judge an idea. Terrible process. Always a shit show and everybody has to smile and shut up because they are "Google"
NIGHTMARE client. Terrible timing expectations, terrible workflow and approval process. Blech
Google is the fucking worst...do you even work in this industry?
Agree with EVERYTHING above
They low ball all project budgets because they can. They run over budget and refuse to approve change orders. So you won’t make margin on their projects but you will get to do cool shit.
Google is the WORST client.
1. They have zero approval process. It's approval by committee.
2. Nobody knows how to give feedback.
3. Creative briefs are shit. "Target audience is everyone"
4. Stakeholders change from week to week.
Lol google is the worst. Their sales reps for one are the biggest cheapskates I’ve ever worked with, so could only imagine how they’re like as a client
Def agree that Google is one of the most difficult clients to work with - but have found it you partner w strategy and have data to back your creative ideas (which you should if you’re making work for your target and not for yourself), they’re much more open to being pushed.
My brother in law works at google as a sales rep, he hasn't mow the lawn once in 7yrs marriage. Always finds excuses to dodge, go figure.
Google is everyone's dream client. Until they actually work on Google 😀
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. No.
