So it’s been 6 months of unsuccessfully being able to pivot externally to Product Manager. I have seen I can secure interviews for Technical Account Manager, however, would this be a possible pivot if I get an offer? My thought process is I could learn the product and customer and internally move to PM after a couple of years.

Contractors, in this market, where there are a plethora of perm roles available; trying to negotiate increases on their contract assignments with clients. ‘I could be making $10 more perm, so I’d like a raise.’ Yes, you could be making more as a perm employee. Read the room. Happy to have you on billing, but seriously, if the client wanted to pay you more, they would. They’d submit it with the extension or convert you. It seems like a no brainer.
