Exactly this. We have to identify the hot docs regardless but usually we can do that over a few days/ week. Not in 12 hours when there are tens of thousands of docs produced

When you all place limit orders, how do you determine your limit? I was told to never place a market order so I always select limit, but then randomly choose a number somewhat below the current market price with really no rhyme or reason.

Need job advice:

I recently got an offer at a prestigious company making almost double what I make now (OTE). It is also a promotion on the job title which will help for long term career prospects.

The only downfall is I also have a final round interview with literally my dream job later this week.

The company who gave me the offer wants an answer before Thanksgiving. Do I take the good offer and run with it? Or do I roll the dice at the chance at my dream job?

I’m getting really worried about how to manage my new ‘manager’ clients while still my entire old senior load

Anyone else sick of equity partners constantly telling their practice groups that the market is cooling off and everyone should step it up? I almost forwarded him the 5 recruiter/firm emails I received while on our weekly practice group call. Hilarious how firms are trying to reclaim the in control narrative with veiled threats.

Is it okay that I’ve been a slow junior as we’re hours away from closing? I’m trying to be proactive and available to cross things off the list but I’m SLOW: takes me long enough that they do it themselves (even though this wasn’t an issue earlier in the deal) and even on quick tasks or emails, they respond to it before I can click send. There’s also so much about closing that I don’t understand and I feel like I’m bothering the higher-ups on the team whenever I ask. *end anxiety post*

I've been noticing a new trend in biglaw passive aggressiveness: Adding a question mark to a non-question when you're following up on something. E.g., "Hi X, just wanted to check in on Y as the client would like to see a draft as soon as possible? When can we expect this?"

And to the people who do this... why?
