Hi Fishes, I have offers from PwC(risk advisory) and IBM(app development). Thing is that the PwC joining is at Kolkata location but I don't want to go there and stay. There is not much difference between the offers in terms of package(10 & 10.4). Can I ask PwC to provide WFH or change my office location for this? Deloitte EY PwC KPMG

Slalom is a really good place to get a pay increase if you are 2-3 years into your careers. They will pay experience analyst and year 1 consultants pay more than they currently make.
After that its a about a laterally move for most managers in salary....but it's a much better deal when it comes to hours worked.
From what I have heard...it's about 130-150 for solution architects, 140-180k for solution principles. I think directors are maybe 250-275. The hours are usually 32 for solution architects, 40-45 for solution principles and directors seem to work 50.
Pay per hour is nice. It's a good spot I'd you need to take a break for a few years or you want to improve your cloud skills before moving to faang
I am above principal and i did not come here to work that much (basically I am not working more than 50, pretty much ever), if so I would have stayed at my old firm for way more money. They sold me WLB and I’m taking it.
I went through several rounds with them about a year ago. We got to the end and I told them my current salary and expected increase. They choked…
They call me about every other month (I don’t think they have an HRIS) and we go through the same song and dance. They tell me about the role, I tell them I need make X or better, they go away and don’t come back.
If you don’t work for $$$, enjoy slow to no growth, and like doing staff aug - it could be a great place for you. But why? You could do better in industry and have more ownership over your work. I don’t see the value in a career there, but maybe you will.

This wasn’t my experience at all. They were very transparent from the first call. Easiest interview process I’ve gone through and got a huge raise coming from D.
I don’t think am gonna waste my time! I work for money and anyone else who says it’s for other things, best of luck to them!;)
@Slalom what is the salary range for an associate consultant level who is coming from industry with at least 8 years of professional experience. Field - UX / Design experience.
“We don’t want people who want to work for money.” When I received an offer from Deloitte and was working through negotiations, a variation of this was said to me by the recruiter.
WHAT TF DO YOU THINK I WORK FOR? MY HEALTH? Inspiring potential employees with incentives is *table stakes*. That’s why it is called “incentives”…it’s incentivizing you to work/perform.
I IMMEDIATELY halted conversations. Absolute clowns, honestly. Unless it has been your lifelong dream to work for Slalom…move on. This is a “moment that matters”, as they say, and playing a game around a simple compensation question and giving a provocative/manipulative answer in this talent market is ludicrous.
Especially for a director/senior director level. I am at a high-paying boutique so Comp is my number one question to avoid wasting time. I’d run.
Just accepted an offer there and paying way more than Accenture.

Because If you are working fewer hours and are happier for somewhat less pay then you may very well be ahead. It depends on the goals of the individual
Data point: I interviewed for a manager role (can't remember if that is their actually title - I think they have other names for roles) in a LCOL city and they said $135k was substantiality higher than the upper limit of their range.

This is a different model and what the recruiter probably means is that they don’t target recruits who have money as a primary motivator. There’s nothing wrong with that sounds like it was just messaged poorly
Slalame? Slolam?
Sorry. Done with the dad jokes
And it’s a firm created by ex accenture consultants;) they left accenture to stop working for money!
This recruiter sounds like a class act 😂
Slalom
U should be.. I am sorry.. that’s what the recruiter said.. this is no way to attract talent tbh..

I think it's a great way to filter out candidates that won't be a good fit. Slalom is not the place to make lots of money
SOWs call for client payment in "fit" or "culture". It's not all about the money for Slalom!
OP, you are right. Companies exist for money, shareholders, clients do too. So why not us.

That’s a tone deaf terrible response from them, they are gaslighting you for considering an important aspect. Many Jobs don’t disclose salary but they could have phrased it differently .
No way. Did they actually say that? Lol I’m embarrassed.
POS firm through and through. Move on.
What’s POS?
Are you kidding me?? 🤣🤣
