What’s your current role? If working in public accounting and have done well at your firm, you could probably easily boomerang back, which might give you solace to think about if you decide to accept. I had that in mind as I put in my notice today! Congrats on the offer!!

Happened to me twice lol. Do you have to move? What is the team like? How about the hours? Have you talked to people that worked there but moved on? Weigh everything out on paper and if it makes sense, then do it. If it doesn’t, then don’t. I passed on both of my oops and it’s sucked but hoping for something better to come up.
Every new career step is a bit scary (it should be) and does have a risk that it will be worse than what you already have. What you are feeling is normal. Whatever your next career move is is unlikely to be your last one. The only thing I would be afraid of early on in my career if you are ambitious is getting into or staying in a role where your skills (both technical and people/management skills) don't develop and upward mobility is nonexistent. The first issue makes it hard to exit, the second issue makes it hard to stay with the company (if you are ambitious).
People get comfortable, and change can definitely be scary. That’s 100% normal, but it doesn’t hurt to evaluate the offer and make sure it really is what you want. Even if you accept it and end up not liking it later, you can always find something new. Congrats on the offer!
