Hi Fishes, I am bit confused to pick the role in KPMG lighthouse as Sr Cloud Data architect or Saama technology as a Project lead. Money wise it is not a big difference. Look. Now. I can’t recall a time that a PIP didn’t result in being fired or laid off.
Yes, use this time to find a new job. And to draw out the timeline, play along with the PIP. Like do everything they ask, even if it’s dumb. Document the heck out of everything. Check in often. Act like you absolutely expect to fix the issues and stay employed and would be flabbergasted if they didn’t feel the same. Really sell it.
The goal is to quit not be fired. Changes how they give a reference, makes it way easier to get a job if you are still employed.
Treat it like a game.
I was on one once. It was a 2 week timeline after 3 months on my first job. Felt like a set up. Ended in a layoff with a package.
Let it play out. Do Not Quit! Start looking elsewhere.

Anytime my coworkers got on a pip, they were laid off later. I’d start looking.
