LOL! I wish that was the life here. It’s a solid gig and comp. It’s named after the Nashville Stax Records music agency which the founder was fond of. Let me know if you want to know anything about here.
Yeah the WLB has been moderate, we track hours here and usually log 45-55 of project time maybe a few more per week with company/mentor meetings. But there is pretty active top down messaging and efforts to support WLB, protected time, extra days off all the major long weekends this year, etc. We even just got a company-wide 100% shutdown put in place for this year between Xmas and NYE. I can’t say it’s glorious WLB as it is consulting at the end of the day but it’s at least similar if not better then a number of other firms. L. My overall take would be, if you have a bad consulting WLB experience at your current firm, and expect to to be the same at Stax then you’ll probably be surprised (in a good way). However, if you expect it to be a world of a difference, especially to what I shared above, then you’ll probably be disappointed.
Regarding the firm otherwise, I like the culture, ppl are cool and generally nice people (not really a competitive dynamic with jerks around here). Also, the leadership do a good job with transparency usually so that a plus compared to being the dark elsewhere from what I’ve heard. I don’t regret coming here at all. I’d prob do it all over again if I had the option.
What did I just read 😵💫

Lol, I am just loling at the firm’s name. Sorry
Honestly, heard great things about Stax and they look out for their employees. Esp. If you're a high performer, there's $$$ to be made above T2/T1 at the M level
