Advertising isn’t the only field that experiences this type of situation. Most people learn differently from others, still others like myself with ADHD and my grandson on the autism spectrum, we definitely see things and learn things in a different way. We all get to the same place we just take a different route. People need to keep that in mind before placing others on PIPS. Keep the journey in mind and allow the person the luxury of listening, you might learn something.
OP, I have two RFEs - 1 for extension and 1 on amendments. My existing H1 expired last month. I have a house and this is my milestone year, so if I have to leave the country and move to another member firm, my promotion will be deferred by at least 2-3 years. But I am Ok, no point is being bothered all the time since its going to affect only you. Whatever has to happen will happen, no point sweating.
Bhai visa hai jaan nahi le raha koi.. nahi hua toh India vapis.. it’s not the end of the world. If you are capable, you will be fine anywhere. Don’t let such tiny things bother you.
OP as a person who suffers from anxiety, this post is very familiar to me. I’m sorry you are feeling this way but like somebody said, this is not the end. Please realize that this is not something we can control. We can only play the game with the cards we are dealt with and we will play it bloody well no matter what 🙂 hope you find your peace OP, we all deserve it.
OP - I also got a RFE on my H-1B extension. I’m still waiting for the attorney to provide more details. From what I’m hearing, most of the H-1B extensions are getting RFEs. I think USCIS is just buying time.
I haven’t even heard back. When did you get the RFE? I was reading on several websites that it’s usually just additional documents that the firm needs to submit.

Hang in there OP
Don't be anxious, you can't do much anyways.
I was at the movies today but I had a mini attack thinking about all this- I’m up for an extension in 2 months. This is crazy.
A1 - RFE deadline is 3 months by default
🙏🙏🙏 thanks to all.
Is this same issue with people in the industry as well? Or is consulting people special targets in general? Staffing/util, new teams, changing boss, different clients, it's always been a bit sophisticated. Now, visa is adding an another dimension...LCA and amendments for every new client
OP industry is straightforward approval as you have no employer employee relationship problem. No travel problem so you are at one place and you are working inhouse. Generally they are easy pass throughs. So imagine, 85k in industry has better chance of approval than 110k in Consulting.
D2, it’s getting difficult to transfer as well. I would move to industry in a heartbeat but know of a friend whose transfer got declined.
Take a good look at what is the RFE about. And the paper work you have to again provide. Attorney will do its job but in current situation please give your due diligence as well. I am saying from my Personal experience.
OP anxiety attacks are not uncommon. But like others pointed out, you cant do much about this and it's not end of the world. If you can't still stop getting anxiety attacks, find a shrink. No one till you this but it's true
How to know what the deadline for submitting the RFE is. My RFE says that if not received by August 18 to request for it again. But mentions no deadline for RFE.
Your attorney should tell you
