In my experience, I treated it the same as if I was interviewing with an attorney at the firm

I treat it the same way until it is clear the recruiter does not know what they are talking about which happens frequently, then take it down a level.

What is a typical time for an offer to be extended? Had one informal coffee, followed by a Zoom interview with four additional attorneys, and then an in-person interview with the practice head and the hiring partner (who was present at all of these). Talks went very well, and conversation ended with how they just needed to talk to the people responsible for next steps(finance). Last meeting was one week ago. Big firm. Not a posted position so I’m the only candidate. Am I am being impatient?

For those of you who are in Facebook and Google, I have a few questions.. 1. Do you like it there? 2. How long did it take you to get there? 3. How many YoE would you suggest to wait before applying to either? (I have been in the workforce for 1y 2m and from some other bowls it sounds like I’d be aligned with technical customer experience/support but that’s not what I’d be limited to doing. I know my coding skills are not strong enough to go an engineering route.)

Hello. I’m working on H1B and recently got a promotion. My company is amending my H1B and told me that since my new job is remote I can only work at my apartment (since it’s my legal location). Is there any chance they can figure out I’m working remotely from somewhere else? Also, I’m also in the process of applying for green card (thru employment). Does anyone know the timeline for this given my H1B is getting amended ? (My country has no waiting time).

So this might be a better place to post this and ask this question: Uncle D has announced explicitly that most people won’t get a pay raise & bonus this year except for those promoted and high performers. Amid this crisis, are companies including other big 3, MBB, FAANG, boutique consulting firms still giving high raises and issue stocks? Can you share the impact from your firm?
