What's your method of politely telling someone you're waiting for the machine/equipment they are using?

How do you deal with inexperienced attorneys misguiding you or telling you to do things that are not correct? I’m helping out the Florida office (I’m in Ga) and I’m less familiar with their rules. I really want her to go ask someone what the correct steps are.

I recently took a job with a top tier investment manager, which is a step up in title and responsibilities. I went through the typical “notice” conversations with my current employer. What’s your take on working along side a team in marketing but barely any of your team enjoy the social present, let alone having actual social accounts. I’m totally respect people who want to keep their personal life private, but not knowing what the hell is trending while holding a role that deal with social media contracts everyday and giving others opinions, that’s what I’ll have problem with. I recently went on disability leave and my boss Auto forwarded my emails to my coworker. Hi all. Today is one of those days where I am just really tired of proving myself. I'm a woman POC and the only brown person at my small firm. Owners are subtly racist and the men often treat me like their assistant. I also make a lot less than the male junior even though I have more YOE than him. Days like this really make me want to stop being a lawyer. I don't think I will ever find a firm where I am not treated this way.

I've been working remotely for the past two years, and it's been great. I love working from home and being able to watch my kids grow up through their eyes as they play around me. But sometimes, when you're in this kind of situation, it's hard to know what to talk about with your coworkers.

Here's mine: I was working in the call center and I was explaining to a customer that he had used up all his credit and that's why he couldn't surf the Internet on his phone. He started to insult me for 8 minutes and, due to company policies, I could not hang up until he had finished.

Anyone else struggling with moving forward I. Their company? I work with three men and two women, the two women are not in my department but the three men are. What is it about Palantir that gets people so excited? I think they are in a good niche but it doesn’t seem like their tech is necessarily a differentiator. I think that there is a lot of value in both their data and their relationships but I don’t know how they have leverage these. I’m currently a third year in my small firm’s life sciences team. I’m not really stimulated by the work and although they say they have a lot of work, they’re not good at managing workload. A partner put me in charge of a specific project that I ran independently. Things were going well. The client began asking me to do more and more, including revamping their system and internal trainings. The client even gave me a litigation matter. Suddenly, the partner became more involved. I was removed from meetings concerning the revamping, my trainings were cancelled, and he started micromanaging. He has now sidelined me from the project and trash talked me to the client. I am very upset.
