No.
Lol, not at all. Those background check companies take their time, and mess it up, I wouldn't be surprised if they send you an email within the next few days asking for some unecessary document to validate something. If nothing shady, you'll pass.
Previous jobs, sometimes they ask for tax return stuff to ensure you were employed. Also, if studies are included, it is slower.
Wouldn’t be worried, if there were a red flag holding them up you’d have heard about it already. Usually timeline has nothing to do with you. It can all depend on how quickly previous employers/university responds to their inquiry. However, if you checked “do not contact employer” that could also cause delay because they’ll need to find an alternative route to verify you.
Oh okay okay that’s chill haha. I did work in multiple different roles at one academic institute, so I wonder if that’s causing a delay.
Nope lol unless you lied about something. With all the hiring going on right now, it makes sense. The background usually takes a week anyway.
No - they told you it's staffing shortages and that sounds perfectly plausible to me : )
No. It took two weeks for mine to come back because of covid. It was not a big deal at all.
Thanks very much. I’m a bit more calm now hearing that it’s normal the process takes this long. Was yours done through Sterling as well?
I wouldn’t worry too much, in my case it was a background and credit check and it was several days but turned out fine.
Not at all.
However, at a previous employer, it took almost 3 weeks. In addition to the background check, they were also trying to verify work history. One of the companies I worked for was acquired and no one could verify I worked at the acquired company. It ended up getting worked out but there could be other factors like that, which slows the process.
No need to worry, mine took 2 weeks.
