Hello,
Last Wednesday I was able to get a Deloitte job referral, I applied the next day. Yesterday I signed in to my account and it shows that I applied for the job but when I click on the link it show me an error page. I searched for the job on the website itself and it disappeared. There were like multiple positions but different locations, now they’re all expired. What does this mean? Did they choose a candidate already? It’s weird it never happened to me before
Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

Start prep! You'll have a better chance of actually making it into the company that way.
And congratulations on the interview! You got this 🥳

Tell yourself you’re prepping for your dream job, which may or may not be this one.

Fake it until you make it. If nothing else, you’ll make a connection and try again. Failure is not trying. You got an interview. They clearly think you’re worthy. Now YOU believe you’re worthy!

That was me!
I started my prep at the very last moment, and then gave up on it because I felt that the practice was making my answers seem superficial.
I got the job! 😬
Prep, get the basics in place, do some mock interviews- and then just sit back and enjoy the interview process.
If you’re at ease during the process, 99% of your work is done.
Also, don’t put your dream organization on a pedestal. I consciously gave a parallel interview with another organization to take the edge off.

Think about it this way - they have no idea what they are doing and that’s why they want to hire you to do the job. Whatever you say, say it with confidence and they will buy it.

I hope so 🤞🏽🤞🏽
This happens to me all the time; it was high levels of anxiety (specifically performance anxiety) and imposter syndrome, and ultimately lead to years of procrastination and self sabotage.
Here are some tips, which ultimately helped me get out of my head and into my dream job at a FAANG:
1) Watch videos on the company, role and/or interviewing tips (including behavioral interview questions). YOUTUBE has minutes/hours of content to passively consume.
2) Find someone to quiz you with basic interview questions, so you can be present and start developing solid answers, instead of stressing about effing it up. It’s better to do this with others to simulate the experience than on your own.
3) Visualize yourself in the dream job, learning, growing, and behind happy. Then “stalk” people on LinkedIn who have this role and in leadership at the company, to see their backgrounds/ interests/ career paths, and think critically about what career paths could look like working there.
At a minimum, one of these tips can spark questions to aid prep so you’re focusing on the substance rather than your performance.
Good luck! You got this.
