I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @
I had a technical interview with IBM last wednesday and on thursday they had set up a managerial round for discussion. It went well and the manager asked me about my expectations. We had few discussion regarding the salary and finally I was told that HR will get back to me. It has been 4 days but I didn't receive any call from the HR. Should I consider the fact that they might have rejected me even after all those discussions ? Shouldn't the HR atleast have a discussion ? IBM Tata Consultancy

Negotitate the offer...
This happened to me before and I ended up declining the offer after a couple of calls since they were not willing to honor initially discussed comp.
I did this out of principle since I feel that if you let folks screw you in the beginning it will only compound itself when time for promotion, raises, etc comes
OP, no I don’t regret it and yes I found a better opportunity 2 months later.
Update - got the offer back to original levels plus a bit extra
Congrats OP.
Just ask
What role/level?
Maybe you were leveled down
Im assuming that’s what happened. Which knowing how long it may take to get a promotion (3-5 years) may not make it worth it anymore. Would most promotions take that amount of time or is there shorter windows?
