How is USAA project in tcs?
Hi my IBM sharks..
So I joined IBM five months back and just a week back I got a project.
Since my shift is 11:30 am - 8:30 pm, I started clocking in my hours in Workday from previous Monday for shift allowance and its pending for approval with my people manager.
Guys, should we contact our manager by the end of every week or by the month end to get the entered time approved on Workday?
Secondly, does the people manager approve it or the project manager?
Any inputs are appreciated :)

What does being staffed on a project have to do with accepting a new job?
“Got an offer but I’m currently employed elsewhere” 😑
Was worried about project transition.
I just signed my offer and put in my two weeks while staffed. I informed my project manager and we identified a backfill and put together a transition plan. No hard feelings on either side.
That’s good to know!
A little more info would be helpful...
Stay at Guidehouse unless I have a project role waiting in other company
Key is to be professional. If you intend on leaving then give two weeks and work on a transition plan. If the recruiter moved too fast then feel free to pass on the offer, you have gainful employment and there are always other opportunities out there. Don’t let recruiters push you around. Best of luck!
Question is why you have an offer. Answer is you intend to quit. So quit! Or maybe you want to think twice about the offer. Please do not bring the offer back to current firm and hold your current employer hostage.
I was reached out by a recruiter months ago and was just curious about what available out there in the market. Did not expect them to bring me to that position given all the uncertainties due to COVID19...
+1 with A1 unless the company is a lot smaller than Guidehouse just create a plan to transition from your role on the project and go to the other company. Personally with all the uncertainty I would ensure that the new company was as stable as possible and there was no chance they would rescind or postpone. Congrats on the offer!
Thank you for your kind words!
