Got an offer from a boutique tech consulting firm. Pay is about 15% better... With faster increases down the road. Everyone at the company is chill / talented. Mostly senior. Advice?

What's the part that you're worried about? Are you excited about the opportunity? Sometimes you get to learn more in a smaller company especially if most people are senior, and you already have a brand name under your belt. Advice: if you feel excited about it take it.

If they are all senior are you getting hired to do the grunt work? If you're making the move to the right position then it sounds great.

2 year mark isn't a hard set rule. I say take it if you think the opportunity is better.

Yeah not sure what the decision is here? So you'll get to work with talented people, at higher senior levels, and win win with comp increases. The only downside I can think of is that it's a boutique and you'd be specializing in the tech market. But that's only bad depending on your future career path

I was quite limited due to the character limit so sorry for the lack of details / general vagueness. Thanks for the advice - was just looking for what others thought about going to a boutique firm. Yes it would involve specializing so may narrow my future. However may be quicker opportunities to grow / learn. Also have not been with my current firm 2 years yet so am hesitant to leave so quickly. But opportunities don't just sit around forever. Thanks for the feedback!

Getting wills drafted for my wife and me by a hired attorney. On the question for power of attorney for financial decisions, our choices are springing and immediate. My wife wants immediate but perhaps as an attorney, I found that to be an override that I didn’t feel comfortable with, so I want springing. Any reason it should be one over the other? We’re late 30s, 2 kids, married 3 years, and trust and love each other without a doubt.
