What city and role? Compare your city and salaries in Glassdoor. Also, Amazon is a very fast-paced place. If you enjoy it go for it. If you are escaping PA for more WLB it might not be your best option.
Check NYTimes. Extremely toxic corporate culture. Other firms see Amazon on your resume as poison.
Seattle also scared off Boeing so I think it’s ok.
That’s low buddy
Ask for 150k and when they reject that, work 6 more months to get manager
What's your current title and what level will you be at Amazon? I am guessing you ll be a L3 or L4. Is this an IC role? 105k TC is too low. I'd expect you to be close to $150k - $160k, especially given what the stock is at. Otherwise $140k would be a good start.
Do you have a competing offer? If not, there is a very thin chance for you to negotiate. Best to negotiate on RSU and Sign on.
Btw we are hiring too and we beat Amazon's offers all the time. That's how I m at Zillow not at Amazon :)
Feel like you can negotiate seems a bit low but all depends on what city and what exactly you’re doing.
Seems low on the pay side...
This is in seattle and its 30 stock units. For better context im canadian and M1 is about 90k CAD and im already in a high COL city. Did not negotiate yet.
M1 salary in industry around Seattle should be at least $115k, and that’s pretty low. Have heard of $140k-ish. But if your offer is for senior that sounds about right.
EY2: I might have missed the post where OP said this is for an M1 role, so feel free to direct me to where they said that. My understanding is that OP is currently a senior. Amazon has a tendency to hire people who are managers at B4 in as seniors. I also literally wrote $105k isn’t low for a senior and $115k is pretty low for M1 so...
Seems low
When I left KPMG as an M1 my salary was $102. Received ECIB bonus of $20k but left before manager bonuses were paid. I got a 30% raise when I left.
Doing what?
FP&A
Are you already in Seattle? If not, get ready for the COL, it’s insane here.
Agree with PdUbs2. Doesn’t the firm pay managers more?
