Bain & Company I’m currently prepping for Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company interviews scheduled in the next 2 months. For those that interviewed with both, how would you suggest I tailor my preparation for each one? I understand McKinsey is interviewer led while Bain is the opposite. But other than that, is there anything else I should work on separately for each one?

That is odd. I’m going to follow instead of just subscribing to make you personally aware of my vested interest in this thread.

Yep. Title is just that title. I go with an attitude that I can always learn from everyone because they’d have experiences that I won’t have.
Not at EY, but my group does have SCs interview potential managers for culture and style fit. Especially if they have several years tenure. I think it's valuable when it comes to team building.
Very True and this happened to me at EY too for the M Data Science. Due to the vested interests things can’t move further if you do too well. Did well in what was asked in fact the interviewers don’t know much to be very frank. They just have theoretical knowledge about MLOPs without any Hanson.

No, this isn't unusual. While at KPMG, I interviewed those who were hired for a higher level too. It was about meeting the team/cultural fit. Also, to judge someone's "level" based on their title is rather disrespectful because it assumes that everybody with capabilities and skills is always operating at the right level/title. The SC may very well be a better performer than you or many others but may be an SC for a myriad of reasons that go beyond being promoted to a certain title

Interviewed up to MD level - to be fair it wasn't necessarily an interview, but a rather meet greet have a conversation. The partner whom I reported to wasn't your typical Big 4 partner driven by hierarchy, but someone who appreciated flat structure despite being at KPMG. But I can understand if someone who's interviewing you is relatively young and junior in experience. Again, it may just be to see how well you gel with the team. I wouldn't put too much thought in it, and go in casually to that situation. Regardless, you know your worth and you only take the role if you get your money's worth
Its a flag by B4 standards. Ive never seen it except once when K tried to lowball me in similar fashion. I will explicitly bring up with recruiter and get specifics is the SC in question almost M by year end? If recruiter is beating around bush you know
I am not sure if EY is seriously hiring good candidates at M level in Data Science. They make you talk to couple of junior folks who don’t really know much and they have vested interest so if you go well and have higher salary expectations then you are not going to get selected
