Back on the market and I’m coming to find two things: 1. Less desirable agencies are the ones who want people back on-site soon, with no wiggle room for remote work. 2. These same agencies want to pay salaries based on COL in the city where the agency is based even if you’re working/living from another market in the interim. Example: Midwest based agency paying Midwest salaries to folks living in places like NY, SF, LA. 🧐🧐🧐🧐

I’m reviewing a contract for a new (in-house, freelance) gig, and the following 3 things I want to counter — or at least I’m curious if these are common: 1) Non-compete for 2 years for same industry 2) Must have liability insurance for up to 2 million while there (didn’t know this existed honestly) 3) Must give 30 day notice if leaving (I’m fine with 2 weeks…but 30 days?!) …Any advice on if these are standard and how to best negotiate them?

There is a comment before this in which I say that it’s absolutely not ok for harassment to occur to either gender, but harassment and fear of being attacked is a constant item women need to think about on a regular basis, and men so not. This was his response.
