Anyone here went on Day 1 CPT and then got h1b?

I need to go to India in August and my current H1B visa is ending on September 07th. If I fly back in the last week of August, would it be a problem during immigration? I do have my extension approved but there are no slots available in India to get my visa stamped.

Should I be investing money in 401k? International here under OPT and have been hearing that if I decide to not stay in the US/don’t get the visa, i would need to retire the funds and pay a 10% penalty. Any thoughts? Can I just leave my money int he US if I go back home and take it out at 60?

I have got my L2 Dependent Visa stamped for the US through the Wife's organization and she has booked the tickets for the both of us in the next weekend. I am currently unallocated in TCS and seeking projects in the same US location as my Wife. Can I travel to the US just like that and then continue my search within TCS from there or do I need any approvals to even fly in the first place?

I am worried because of the time crunch and will be glad to hear some points on this.

If you have a valid visa stamping till Sep 2022 and you are unable to find a job in the 60-day grace period, can you use the same stamping to reenter the US after another employer files for an H1B transfer? Thanks in advance!

Hello friends. I got a second interview for a Rate Analyst position that, from my research, averages ~90,000 per year. However, I also saw an average of 63,000 on Glassdoor. The job description says 1-3 years experience, I have one year experience and currently earn 62,000 in my first job out of college. I don’t want to be outrageous, would asking for 90k be the wrong move? I plan on asking how much they have budgeted for the position prior to floating a number.
