Do take into account that your net will be only about 55% of that. We have high taxes and social contributions which makes a big difference before and after taxes. Quality of life is much higher though than in most American cities so the taxes are “put to work"

100k sounds decent for Germany, not sure about cost of living in Munich.
I was once offered 62k in a Berlin, felt it was too less so didn’t take the offer.
OP, big4 manager here looking for opportunities in Germany. Mind if I DM you about your experience?
Sure
I’ve lived in Munich, feel free to DM
100k base is pretty good. What practice ?
Very high for big 4
Munich is pretty expensive
If you’re American or a green card holder remember you have double taxation past a certain amount. Shouldn’t be too much since you’re making just over 100k
If you’re a US citizen you have to file taxes in US. If you’re earning income in a country that has a tax agreement with US then there’s a chance you won’t anything.
There’s nothing about number of days outside of US. Even if you owe nothing in US if you at any point had greater than $10k in a foreign bank account, you have to report that to US, or face significant penalties.
Basically if you’re a US citizen living abroad, make sure you know your obligations, there’s no simple out, if anything there’s more scrutiny.
