Should be at least 60. I agree not too less at 1.5 years of right out of undergrad experience.
This is legacy PwC public sector consulting playing into the salary offer. I’ve long moved on but worked at PwC PS years back. I joined after ~1 year in a gov job post undergrad. They knew my salary since gov pay is public. So they offered me 10% above my current pay, which was ~$50k. Total BS. I negotiated them up to $65k, which is what they offered undergrad hires at the time. My advice: negotiate. If you can’t get a respectable offer, turn it down.
This isn’t public sector.

That is disrespectful. If push comes to shove, take the role and look for another job.
You are absolutely not wrong. That’s robbery

You should ask for at least $75k.
Wow, and I thought I was underpaid.
Honestly look elsewhere. Paying a consultant $50k, let alone one with any experience is so far below your range that you honestly might make more driving for Uber.
Where are you located? May have an impact on pay. 50K seems insulting though, minimum 60K at any consulting firm even with no experience
I know two people that declined the same offer to join after being a contractor to GH. The insult was no bench pay for them in addition. They declined and find a different job paying 75k.
Can they at least do 68? 50 is too damn low
Chief
That’s ridiculously low. Do not take it.
As a new hire at a boutique life sciences firm 8 years ago, I got a starting salary plus bonus of $80k.
I started off at coopers almost 30 years at 48k and could have gone to PW for $50k and that was right out of grad school so that sounds ridiculous for someone with experience starting.
What sector or org?
Hmmmm. This doesn’t totally track. Are you doing some sort of business process outsourcing? Do you have a degree? If they’re going to expect you to be a client facing consultant, they should pay you a consultant wage!
Yea this is wrong
Are you coming in as a consultant or an analyst? $50k was my starting salary when I started at Navigant 15 years ago.
Guidehouse really just doesn’t care about you
What country are you in, do you have a degree, and what sector?
What are you currently getting as a contractor?
You’d make more as an exec assistant
Wow, this is morally wrong.
