Interviewed with an Indian guy from FAANG and I felt like the interview was more like an integration instead of interview; The interviewer never smiled (not even the beginning) throughout the interview and keeps probing my "technical skills" even though I am interviewing for Program Manager position. For many times I wanted to end the interview but out of curtesy I stayed. Does anyone else here have similar experience with Indian interviewer?

Any tips for Structured/STAR (Situation, action, result) interviews? I have an entry level Software engineer interview next Tuesday and I want to make sure I cover all my bases. I’m already preparing answers for possible questions they ask, but just wanted to see if there was anything else I could do to best prepare.

Last night a hiring manager asked me what my availability at 7pm for today & Fri for an interview. I gave some availability for today & more availability for Fri since I don’t have many meetings that day. I still have yet to hear back from them & i’m nervous they might want to interview today which I would feel unprepared for since it was only a few hours notice. Would it be unprofessional to ask if it would be okay to try to schedule the interview for Fri since I have yet to hear back today?

In the process of changing careers to forensic accounting. I come from a very qualitative background as a crime analyst. What types of forensic accounting involve more qualitative analysis and interviewing and lesser amounts of number crunching? I know they all require number crunching to some extent.

How do y’all cope with getting those awful automated rejection emails? So I’ve applied to several jobs and have had decent luck getting passed screening and into the real interview process. But the emails with the generic “we’ve reviewed your application and decided to move forward with other candidates” still stings.

This might be a stupid question but... I haven’t been able to get a haircut due to covid restrictions in my city. All are closed and have been for over 2 months, my hair is a disaster and I have 2x mbb interviews coming up. I have 2 options really, shave the head (I’m ok with that) just leave as is and make a joke about it. I’m worried it’s going to look unprofessional the way my hair is now because it’s “unkept”. I am looking for some perspectives. I’m in a technical consulting role and would like to end up as a VP or CTO one day. What is the benefit of applying to schools with a GMAT Wavier? How strong do your other stats need to be if you do get it waivered?

Do schools find the average of both scores if you take the GMAT twice? Or just consider the highest? I’m thinking of my best options since I’m taking the exam in 3 weeks.
